The Spad Raymon Pasargad agro-industry complex of Medicinal Plants was inaugurated in the presence of the governor of Fars in Marvdasht city.

The first phase of Spad Raymon Pasargad agro-industry complex of Medicinal Plants in the city of Marvdasht was started in the presence of the governor of Fars.

According to the Fars governate information base, the complex includes a specialized greenhouse, medicinal herb transplantation, medicinal plants farm and beekeeping training center.

Completion of production cycles of the Spad Raymon Pasargad agro-industry complex of Medicinal Plants is anticipated in three stages, the first of which iis related to the production and processing of medicinal plants and has been launched on a land of 20 hectares with a credit of over 150 billion Rial.

By launching this project, it will be possible to process 200,000 tons of medicinal plants per year and to create 200 jobs as well.

The governor of Fars visited various parts of the complex after the inaugurating of the first phase of the manufacturing complex.

On the sidelines of the inauguration of this manufacturing complex, Tabadar Engineer, during his meeting with a group of farmers and villagers from the city of Marvdasht, examined their questions and problems.

The governor of Fars, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Spad Raymon Pasargad agro-industry complex of Medicinal Plants, in the journalists' meeting, considered the development of planting medicinal plants as one of the necessities of the province and said: in this complex, the complete chain of production, including the production of medicinal herbs, the training of farmers and villagers in the region, packaging, processing and marketing, is intended to expand the production of medicinal plants complying with the standards.

Referring to the dangers and risks that the drought has imposed to agriculture and livelihoods of villagers in Fars province, Engineer Esmaeil Tabadar added: "These existing barriers and risks should be eliminated on the basis of today's requirements and the rural economy along with preserving agriculture, poultry, animal husbandry and ..., expand in the traditional way in other fields such as the cultivation of medicinal plants.

He went on to consider the importance of water productivity as one of the most important issues considered in the Spad Raymon Pasargad agro-industry complex of Medicinal Plants and reminded: in this complex, water re-cycling and use water for shrimp farming are defined in the final stage, which is of particular importance given the state of the water crisis in the province.

The high representative of the government in Fars province, referring to the ability and knowledge of practitioners of the agro-industry complex of medicinal plants, mentioned beekeeping as one of the main components of this complex and recalled: honey produced by bees eating pollen from medicinal plants will undoubtedly provide more value than ordinary honey.

Engineer Tabadar called on all directors and executive agencies of the province to work on solving the problems of the Spad Raymon Pasargad agro-industry complex of Medicinal Plants as a prototype and pilot of manufacturing sets with interconnected rings.

By stating that without interconnected rings, production, training, packaging, marketing, production and ..., will not succeed,  he emphasized that: setting up such complex should be considered as an essential culture in all parts of the province.
