Figs
Todays, there are more than 600 different types of fig. Dried fig contains a lot of sugar (about 60 percent). This is a good reason for the athletes to consume fig. Romans gave fresh figs to their slaves, so that they can work better. In that time, dried fig was consumed very low. Fig grows from a tree called ficus. Fig fruit is sweet. It's contained a lot of tiny core and often consumed dry. Fresh figs are delicious and it's utilized to make jam and pickle. FIG skin is very soft and therefore, it is very difficult to store and transport. In tropical countries, figs are exported and stored as dried.
